Fair enough...although it is low and wide too!

Although its French (and therefore naturally temperamental!!) it has only let me down once in 18months +..not standard Renault reliability, probably coz its handbuilt...

Wiring loom was too close to the Janspeed manifold as that runs a different profile to the standard tubes...Simply got tooo warm and melted. RUK replaced the loom and even had it extended to go 'round the pipes and then shielded it..all under warranty!

Here's to it continuing that form!

ok so far the RWD hatches outnumber the FWD hatches - my mistake. Rolling Eyes

The new Renaults are much better, Clios and Meganes seem to be unaffected by the dodgy french mechanics - Sports even better.

How many rattles have you got BF - thats the only downer but I blame the super-stiff suspension.

Rattles NIL
Squeaks ONE

The drivers side trim just behind the seat (where the side panel meets the luggage shelf) squeaks everynow and then..normally at low speed over jiggling surfaces. No rattles though...yet...Nov'05 car with 18,000 miles on it....

Quite impressed now I think about it...

Rattles - LOTS
Squeeks - Not as many as you'd think!!

The suspension on my manta is sooo stiff I hit a speed bump a little too quick and the timing belt jumped!!!!!!! good job the valves are recesed in the head!

i've got a feeling the Manta is going to be a favourite on the rally.

Love the Scally plate above the door - only around 80 people have got one of those!!

Well, as a short update the engine turns over with spark but no fuel to carb. Got a new pump on the way (discontinued part!) so fingers crossed will be back on the road in the next few weeks.

Need to make sure shes a runner before the hoon!!!
